Questions regarding Nintendo DS

Just a few questions before I go out any buy one (maybe)

1.) Dead/Stuck pixel rate? (be honest) I went through 5!!!! PSP's and still could not get one with a perfect screen...sucks.

2.) Cracked Hinges? Are these things still plaguing the units?

3.) How's Core's service here in SA?

4.) Cheapest and best place to buy games? (take2 has plenty but almost all of them are out of stock)

5.) Do you only get white and pink units in SA. I walked through 2 shopping centers of which most shops had none and other like CNA only had pink or white units.

Thanks in advance and any other advice would be welcome

I have the silver unit but I did purchase it last year also the only game that I have ever purchased is Mariokart, all the other games I downloaded

I've never had a problem with cracked hinges...my one is still in perfect condition.

Can't answer the other two questions I'm afraid.

On most of your questions you can ask the guys over in The Official Nintendo DS Thread.

1) But I can say that I haven't heard of much dead pixels.
2) Cracked hinges, yes I've heard a few of those cases.
3) Well its better than Futronic lol
4) LOL dunno
5) You get White, pink, black and silver. If you want other colours, you'll have to import... they've got a wide variety.

i personally havent had any functional problems with my ds and i also have a silver one (bought on bidorbuy a while back)

while i wouldnt consider myself pro piracy a flash cart for the ds is a very worth addition. with the slew of ds games available its nice to try before you buy and and you get to play some early releases that get here when ur grey. all in all its a great handheld and its breakin the psp in terms of game library atm. my only quibble is the size. i have biggish hands and long fingers (piano playing ftw ) and i do find myself cramping every once in a while esp when playin rpgs cos we all know that can go on for hours...

Plus you can get games that you can't get locally...
