I was going to try the pringles can antenna. I have a can but could not find the right connector. So instead of waiting till tomorrow to get a connector I tried something else. Look at the pictures and don’t laugh. My signal strength went from 18% to 29%

And I boosted my signal strength from 20% to 30% using the tea tray method - simply placing the tray a few cm behind the modem, and watching what happens on MySignal. (Thanks again, ProAsm!)

Hey thats a cool setup there vangend, as long as it works is what counts [:)]

Yeah, the calculations are quite a bit of fun behind these cantennas.

The exact distance from the back of the can makes a difference. The length of cable (if you're getting that connector) also has to be a multiple of the wavelength, etc.

That's about the best, concise reference behind the theory I've seen so far.

You think the flavour of pringles tin you use will make any significant changes [:p]

HAHAHHAHAHA

That pringles can looks way funny on top of the modem like that, ^5 for the idea [:D]
