Quick Paypal question

I have a paypal account.

can one transfer money into this account if I haven't "linked" the paypal account to a bank yet? I must still apply for an FNB Card, but have some money coming into the paypal account soon...

You must first link it to your fnb card before you can receive funds into your paypal account

Not TRUE at all
you can receive funds into your paypal account without linking, you just cant withdraw the funds to FNB

za1 is correct - my paypal is not linked yet but I have received funds into the paypal account.

afaik i can also buy stuff online too - just need an fnb account to draw cash if I wanted to.

Yeah you only need to link to FNB if you want to withdraw into your FNB account or from one of your FNB accounts into PayPal.

Since when can South Africans withdraw money from Paypal ?
