Hi all just wanted to get an idea as to what the demand would be for an Android 2.2 / 2.3 Tablet Phone 7" in size. A simple "Yes I want one" / "No ditch that *****" will suffice. Its not a high end device, more budget orientated...

Thanks for your time!

You'd have to give more details than "budget orientated" & "not a high end device". Those could mean anything.

There are lots of posts here of people looking for a "cheap" tablet. People that just can't afford ipads or Galaxy tabs.

Should do well.

Try get some with Honey Comb though.

Read this review of the HTC Flyer by Anandtech, it sounds like a decent device - Android 2.3+touchwiz, the 1.5ghz single core can keep up with the dual core tablets in the performance tests, and the stylus integration is not just some gimmick, but realy well done. But at the same price I could buy an iPad 2, with a bigger screen, much bigger battery, and a lot more capability, so that's what I got.

Short answer: Not particularly.

Cheap tablet would mean TFT LCD screen, insufficient ram, sluggish CPU, probably incompatible with Honeycomb (since it currently requires Tegra2) - not to mention the market is already flooded with low end Android tablet imports.

I would be interested, but you would have to give more details and would prefer one with honeycomb

Hi all, thanks for the feedback. The tablet i am referring to is the ZTE V9 and V9+ (V9+ is the better model). To date the supplier has indicated that they will both be loaded with Android 2.2 / 2.3.

I have requested the Honeycomb OS but have been informed that there are no plans to have the OS loaded on the current models.

Click on this Google search link for details on the tablets: http://www.google.co.za/#sclient=psy&hl=en&source=hp&q=zte%20v9%20specifications&aq=1&aqi=g5&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&fp=99cceac386d72e47&biw=1680&bih=925&pf=p&pdl=300 for the v9

I cannot find anything in English that I could post from the manufacturers site.

I will update details once I have the most recent info.

Cheers!
