Quick question about upgrading to 1024.

Good evening.
Well decided I want to upgrade from 512 to 1024.
Now I have a few questions. First is if I do upgrade, can I still use those ****ty Macaroni Pots modem/router? and how does one go along with upgrading? just a call, if so could someone point me into the right direction? oh and how long does this upgrade take?

Dude, don't get me started on upgrading to 1024, took TelCon a month to upgrade my line:

and the performance is pants (have logged a fault)...

Hehe, the way I see it, I only pay what R200 extra, if it's better than what I currently have, I'm happy =)

Besides I waited 13 months for Telkom to install my phone line, I have grown to understand 'waiting' =)

I also have a 512kps line and am keen to update to 1024kps. But what is the purpose of upgrading if accounts are capped? You will only reach your cap sooner. So what's the use? And oh, the Marconi router is fine for 1024 mps, as I understand the specs you should be able to download up to 4mps.
