Maybe I'm just being blind but where do I check the expiry date for my 8ta Promo R199 contract? It's not listed on the web interface and I don't see it on the monthly statement.

I apologize if this question has already been asked before.

When did you sign up for your contract ?

Just contact 8ta directly and ask them nicely when does your contract come to an end just before the time 1-2months before send them a letter informing them you want to cancel your contract.(Not sure how the procedure works on 8ta)... If you were on prepaid and visited http://www.8ta.com/login/ it would automatically display the expiry date or by dialing *188#

*Bump*

Any easy way of doing this? I logged on to the portal but dont see anything related to my contract expiry date.

No info on my Telkom Mobile invoice either.

So, it's either :

1. phone the Helpdesk
2. go to a Telkom shop and let them check for you on their system.

I've got the 10GB for R199 deal and the contract 24 mnths is over end of March this year

Anybody know what will happen if I just carry on and do nothing about it?

It will just become a month to month contract.

Telkom might phone you and offer you 15GB + 15GB for R199, if you sign for another two years. ;)

Mine expired last year July. The guy who's using it says it's still 10GB, and it's still R199.

thanks guys!
So I will just sit it out and see if they make a move and also start looking around for better deals

Mine expired last month, got a phonecall, they salesperson wanted to upgrade me from the 10GB+10GB to an LTE package (more expensive, less cap), when I said I wanted to renew/extend my current package, she said it's not possible as it was a limited time promo.

So I took a walk to one of the Telkom stores, and the lady there said it's no problem at all to renew the 10GB+10GB/R199pm for another 24 months, and less than 5 minutes later it was all done.

This morning Telkom phoned and suggested to renew my 10GB contract which had expired quite some time ago and was now on a month to month basis. I told him I like to stay on a month to month basis. He suggested to rather take a new contract as the month to month system will be phased out any time soon without notice and there will be no choice to get a renewall after that date.
Is there anyone with more information on this?

I call bs. Just trying to make a sale I think. You can always get a contract when month to month is "phased out".
