So I've been stuck on one of these congested exchanges for the last few months. It's infuriating as anything and there just appears to be nothing you can do about it.

I live in Durban North and my exchange is going to have to support these 20 and 40Mbps. My question is this:

Would Telkom have to upgrade their infrastructure (the exchange) for this to go through and should the exchange be upgraded, would it perhaps sort out the congestion we've been experiencing over the last few months.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

No, Telkom hates you and your congestion will get worse :p

Yes, it should help as Telkom will replace the backhaul links to your exchange with fiber to support the higher speeds

If you live in Sunningdale area, no, you won't see anything for the next year or two.

I also stay in glenashley and according to telkom nothing is wrong *shrugs*, even though there are tons of complaints on hellopeter.
