Quick Troubleshoot Please!

Fact: PSU ... ok
RAM ... ok
GFX ... ok

Thus leaving me with either/or CPU or MotherBoard.

I get NO POST, NO BEEPS.

Anyway to check which one is the culprit??

Unfortunately I only own 1 AMD Socket A Motherboard

Maybe get a poll going and see who wins. I'm going with CPU.

My vote is motherboard. I work almost just with Intel(It Support), but if it's not the PSU, usually it's the motherboard. But do reseat the CPU.I actually have an AMD PC at home, and the only time it ever did that reseating the CPU worked. Good luck!

Mobo is gone. Only way to test it though is to swop it.

How did you test the PSU?

You can have the above symptoms with a faulty PSU. Happened to me, fans will spin up, led's will light up but zilch.

All those were tested on 2 differents machines.

Changed suspect PSU into different PC...All working
Changed known working PSU onto suspect MOBO/CPU...All dead

Still think it's Mr MOBO

Where can I go test CPU?
What will they charge?

have you tried reseating the CPU?

Sometimes that helps, but my best guess would be mobo. Chance of CPU going is highly unlikely.
