Quickbooks online vs Quickbooks desktop

Hey guys,
Do any of you know what the difference is?
I see you can buy the package for approx R3k and the online one is around R300 p/m after discount period.

Any info on differences?

Quickbooks online is a cloud application and no software need, you will need internet to access it.
Quickbooks desktop you will need to install in on your computer and access the software on your computer.

The online version also does not have all the functionality of the local version. According to a client of mine that investigated both options.

Same as Pastel Online vs local version.

I used to use Quickbook desktop and then the online version and was OK with either. However, I have changed to Wave accounting which is online and.. free. It does the same as Quickbooks online with all the bells and whistles but at no cost (I believe they make their income from processing credit card sales which is not available yet in SA)
