Quickest way to receive replacement SIM?

Unfortunately I lost my SIM and need it replaced ASAP as it's my primary number. I logged a SIM swap yesterday for R150 (why is it so expensive??) and opened a support ticket but have heard nothing.

I also noticed it said it will take 3 to 7 days to receive the SIM. Surely there is a quicker way? Can I purchase an MTN sim and convert back to Afrihost Mobile again? There is a shop literally next to me..

That charge will primarily before for the RICA delivery charge. It can take 3 to 7 days, but it is generally a bit quicker than that.

Did you pay via debit order or credit card?

I paid with a card.

Logged in to my Afrihost account now and see it has been handed over to courier.

Strange I have not received any updates via email or response to my ticket however?
 
Still no updates just says handed to courier 5 days ago

Sent PM. Almost been a week now without SIM. Can't even setup online banking uber etc. It's a bit unreal to wait a week for a new sim card when it's your primary number. At this point it would be quicker to go to MTN and port my number back?
 
Also sent 5 messages now on my support ticket starting from 06 February. Not one response to my ticket or correspondence about my order at all?
 
Update: Called support and they still can't tell me what's happened to my SIM. Cancelling my account with Afrihost and moving elsewhere.

Been longer than 7 days :)
 
I just got a call to have my SIM delivered.. 5 weeks later!
