I'm on a standard Vodacom data bundle. This month I could only afford a 250mb.
I connect full bars to a 3G tower just behind my flat and there's no words except to say it's a pure joy.
I have had better responsiveness, better speed and better reliability on 3G than I have ever had with ADSL.
My ADSL escapades are documented in this forum's archives for those that fancy having a walk down memory lane.
I'm hoping that Telkom can look back one day as a corporate entity when the smoke rises and say to themselves, "if only we were lead by example".
That said, all I crave for and need is a reliable working internet connection, the plus side is I've got exactly that and more. The speed is truly amazing, faster in actual page views than our work 4mbps ADSL connection, but definitely won't beat it at download throughput, since the N70 only goes up to about 45 Kb/s in any case.
I'm not a Vodacom supporter, never have been, due to my personal irritations with them, but that aside, I have regained my respect for the big African V with the fact that in the past 3 months I've had this connection, I haven't needed to phone their support centre once.
Thanks Vodacom, appreciate it. Thanks for making my life slightly more relieving, without unnecessary frustrations due to shoddy service delivery.
Ciao
