Being one of the last rats to abandon the sinking ship I am faced with the same decision that I'm sure a lot of you also had to deal with: Where to from here?

Now, I've been on MyWi Classic 128 for more than 2 years now. Even though it was slow and unreliable, I've stuck with it due to being uncapped. This seems to be the only other uncapped solution in SA that I could find:

http://www.is.co.za/broadband/IS+ADSL/IS+Business+ADSL+Continued.htm

Even though it is a full three times more expensive than MyWi Classic 128, it does offer 512kbps and is fully uncapped. In comparison, Sentech now wants 2 grand a month for a measly 10 gig Flexi account. At least with Internet Solutions uncapped I should be looking at vastly more monthly bandwidth, right?

I know this is seriously expensive but what do you think? It doesn't seem lik IS wants to bind you to a 24 month contract so if it doesn't work then at least I can bail out.

Comments?

If there is a uncapped Wisp in your area they would probably offer a much better service than Sentech did, judging from what I've read.

The price will also be low, but alot of start up cost, and there might just not be a WISP with signal around..

Oh and btw, if you hurry you could cath the deal that the Open Web owner/guy (Mr.Beep) gave exclusiveley to MyADSL users, its 384kb uncapped (P2P allowed, unshaped, no start up cost) for R800 pm.

We're going HomeDSL 384 with a 10GB cap package from Webafrica. We'll buy more as needed.

I've already signed up with IS 512 Uncapped and static IP. Double the price...eish. Now the LONG wait for adsl installation begins.
