R10-12k budget, ex screen, pc build

Hey guys

A friend of mine asked to slap together a system for her. She already has two 22" screens, so we don't need to worry about that.
She wants a wireless keyboard and mouse. Other than that, she doesn't really care.
The budget is between R10 000 and R12 000, so I reckon she should be able to get something nice.
I'd like to be able to tell her to get a i7, but I think that's without her budget still, unfortunately, so... Quad, chunk of hard drive space, bit of RAM and a good graphics card, but what to get specifically?
Links to the products from Prophecy or Sybaritic would be great!
 
Well what does she want to do with it? No point going i7 if she wants to check email and light gaming or something.
 
get her a 4870X2 or gtx 285 or something !

Yes and then after the 10k you have just spend on 2 tb's and a 4870x2 you buy her a celeron with a mobo and 2 gb of memory, should just make it under 12k :p

She's not going to do TONS of gaming, but she does game. Crysis isn't really her cup o' tea though. She's also a programmer, so there's that.
I'm thinking a fair chunk of hard drive space and tons of RAM, but which CPU and motherboard to get?
 
I would say go quad core PC Zone has a 2.8 Q9550 500gb hd 2gb ram intel G31 mobo for R5500 its perfect for what she needs just throw in a xfx 9600GT 512 ddr3 for R1500 and your good to go with only spending half your budget :)
 
If she has an old system, Find out what can be used off the old system first. Cause you going to have to beef up on PSU requirements (+R1000k minimum) for anything bigger than a 9800GT. I'm running a Coolermaster Silent Pro M 600W for the GTX280, the GTX285 is basically 2 GTX260's sandwiched together. And that will prob blow your budget anyways. Not to mention pointless if you are going to put in a crap CPU, you will just bottleneck your performance, never get the full effect of the GTX range of cards.

Don't you mean the GTX295?
