R12000 For a laptop

Okay I got 12k for a laptop including vat and a warranty

Any suggestions of what to get and where to get it from?

Dell does a VERY nice laptop for just under R12k, last time I checked. Remember, the prices on their site exclude VAT an a building fee of R500 or something.
Might want to look at Lenovo as well.

Very good deal, just ordered the above setup for my gf and housemate.

I bought a desktop PC from ComX a few years ago - a good price but service was kinda sloppy

Yes, the T61 is still available and the T400 is the replacement.
