R149 3 GB offer

it expires after 2 months according to the 8ta website

I put my 8ta sim in yesterday and phoned the call centre to activate my sim for the 2gb+1gb promo. I bought the bundle via *180# and have received the sms telling me that i received the data.I tried to connect with my 8ta stick and still cant connect, and according to the 8ta website i do have coverage.how can i confirm that the call centre agent activated my sim card so i can use it for the bundle?

@margriet According to their website they say its for a limited time perioud but they dont specify how long

anybody experienced the same issue as mine? How do i check if the 8ta support consultant did change me to the Pre-paid PSB Data Promo rate Plan

it is 2 gigs (daytime data) + 1gig night time surfer (12 am - 5 am?)

Sucky about the night time surfer, ima put it into my cellphone and surf pr0n after 12 ^^

I'm using the 2+1Gig package on prepaid and it's going well - initially I thought that I didn't have cover, but then found out they had not activated the SIM yet.

Downloaded new firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S2 after midnight.

From 2 Jan 2012 I'll be going with the 10G 24month contract.

When in the store the lady told me that the specials on the 2+1G and the 10G contract will be available up to March next year.

Is this available to the 10gb promo at the end?

I ran out on 24th or something and figured I'd only need 250mb ... So bought that for 100.00. I ran again and bought another ... So 200.00 for 500mb :(

I am very very unhappy. I bought a 8ta prepaid just to check it out because I want to sign up for the 10GB contract. I am in a fully covered 3G area in Sandton and I inserted the simcard in.... NO SIGNAL... not even EDGE or anything. Getting a -95dBI signal...

And they made sure that I am in a covered area before they sold it to me.....
I don't want to leave 8ta, because of the good prices on data, but hell, this is totally unacceptable.

Logged a query and I am still to hear from 8ta!

Very disappointed...

I'd like to try this R149 deal, the signal in my area is EDGE, roaming on MTN. I got an 8ta SIM and it connects fine, what I'd like to know is if the R149 deal is valid since I'm roaming on MTN? (8ta website has a clause saying that you must fall within coverage area, is roaming on another carrier defined as being within coverage area?)

It doesn't roam. Only on the 8ta network. Besides, before you use it you have to switch to the 8ta network exclusively.

It appeared the same to me, then I put the SIM in an old phone and went about my business in town, and at different spots looked to see if I had signal - nothing - went back to the 8ta shop and they'd not activated my SIM.

I have a very weak 8ta signal at home, but still enjoy good speed.

I think I worded my initial query badly.

I have an 8ta SIM in my modem, there is no 8ta presence locally so the 8ta network is piggy-backing (roaming?) on MTN
