R1m VAT threshold

Will the R1m VAT threshold ever be lifted? As far as I can tell VAT threshold in the UK is amended on a yearly basis.

We've been sitting on R1m since like forever.

It is a little strange they haven't increased it, particularly with our high inflation rate. Perhaps the long term goal is to get as many businesses VAT registered as possible, and not increasing the threshold certainly would assist with that.

yeah it is a little mission to make sure that never hit the threshold. there is ways around it tho,

Speaking from personal, painful experience the 1m threshold is a huuuuuge burden on small business.
