CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape government has set aside at least R28 million to assist emerging farmers amid a severe drought.
This is one of the resolutions that came out of a two-day dialogue hosted by the provincial Agriculture Department this week.
The discussions involved Agri Wes-Cape, the African Farmers' Association and academics. Talks were aimed at finding solutions to mitigate the impact of the drought.
