R30,000 fine for KykNET

I'd appeal that ruling. Did anybody sue Happy Madison for the tourette's girl in Deuce Bigalow?

Aaaaw shame. Poor Tourette's Syndome sufferers :( Pretty soon you're going to need written permission to simply speak to someone, for fear of offending that person  Talk about pu$$ification.

Funny how the BCCSA never fined anyone for broadcasting Zuma trying his best to mimick a real life president!

And that same person who complained and let Multichoice get fined will wonder why the subscription increased so much the next year.

That should go on appeal and be fought in court. It affects so many aspects of live and recorded comedy. Seriously! Stephen Hawking is a great example of a person with disability who can take a fu**ing joke! People often mimic his robot voice in stand up and the like... The new Dumb & Dumber sequel trailer is another example of comedy mocking disability. Mocking a disability is one thing. Mocking a specific disabled person is another.

Of all disabilities Tourettes is the least offensive to laugh at!

(Note: while The Tourette's Guy does claim have been diagnosed, his website previously carried the following disclaimer...

This site contains videos of a man we call the "Tourettes Guy". Although he has been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, his actions are influenced by other problems [anger issues and alcohol] and are not consistent with most Tourette Syndrome sufferers. In exchange for a few laughs, please educate yourself about the reality of Tourettes and "corprolalia" by visiting our "Feel Guilty" page. A few of Danny's fans actually have TS, and would love to answer any questions you may have in the Forums.
