So the banks (if you choose fixed deposits or money market) and the estate agents (if you choose property) etc make absolutely nothing off your investment with them? They do the work for the love of it?

You do not have to take on much risk at all to achieve more than 5.2%.

Ofc banks are in it for the profit. I have no problem with that. But they are less risky.

My point is why invest large sums in high yield, high risk investments? I would rather invest in instalments into this type of risk.

And I don't trust anyone who advertises any "high" returns, or guarentees a return higher than normal.
