Shame Devill,tI know you were pissed to high heaven over losing your camera but hey at least you had it insured and can get a new and improved one.

If you have the 55-200 I would skip the kit and go for a body only. Also if you could hold out I would wait for the Photo & Film expo in Joburg during October, you might get a good deal plus it would give you time to add a bit more money to your R5000

Seems like a good deal with lens as well

SA Camera comes in at R3999 body only and the next up seems to be Cameraworld at R5995 lens included.

Thanks :D Think I might hang on till end of the year and see if they release anything that will bump a higher range's cames down to R5500 or below.

Yes, I was not a happy camper as they broke my car's window and stole my GPS, Radio and Camera.... while I was on holiday.

My 2 cents.... ;-)

The D3200 is a much better camera, and currently sells for about 6800 body only.

Perhaps and the end of the year it will be around the 6k mark... and you can stretch your budget. :-)

The 50-200mm lens will frustrate you, IMO, as your "only" lens. Starts at 82.5mm if you keep in mind the focal multiplier of 1.5x

You'll have to stand back quite far to photograph people..

So I think you can't consider "body-only"...

Good luck and happy shopping.
