Is there any truth in this ?

I heard from a preson, inside the industry, that Sentech are offering/or soon to be offering a SAT connection for only R599 a month ?

haha. That would be beyond stupid as it would conflict with their 128k MyWireless offering for R649 a month. Perhaps they heard it was wireless and assumed they must be using satellite and they were R50 off on the price? [B)]

Who knows...but that product sounds impossible.

Adios.

Maybe One why Sat connection....Like Infosat offers OOps same company....for R299 or something and 64K Burstible...

Prehaps VSTAR Custom could craft an account for that price. The 512K is R2,999 so maybe one can specify eg 128K with cap or something which will cost a fackload less. They reckon they can tailor a package to suit your needs and budget so 'spose one just needs to call them [:)]

Just imagine where SA would be now if it weren't for Telkom

There is all sorts of talk in the corridors about similar packages but I'll see what I can find out and what i can post.

I think if they are going to offer such a service, it wouldn't be release untill the mywireless rollout is complete. At least complete in the major cities. Also they would first take some sort of mywireless impact study and work with the bandwidth.

..- dot dot dash ;)

Hi,

Well the news at the moment is a new package the will be releasing, 1.5 mb this will cost R 4500 per month however they are not sure about giving static IP's with this one as the are looking at this one relaplcing 64K diginet circuts.

[:)][:D]

VSTAR Packages

We are currently a VSTAR VAP with sentech and have no definate details for new packages -- as soon as they are made available to us I will post them here....

PS -- Depending on how many clients/branches require a VSAT service, any package can be made up as a custom VSAT solution and therefore the prices can be tailored to client needs -- There must however be enough users in that contention pool to allow for that custom solution...
