What do I look at in terms of racing wheel and pedal for a reasonably priced and good experience.

Dirt 2.0 / Forza Horizon / WRC

Bonus if I can use it with Moonlight / TV / Mi TV Box.

Currently using an Xbox PC Controller + Moonlight + Mibox

There were loads of various options on Takealot last time I looked. What are you going to mount it to?

Jussus just go and drive your car Mijineer.

You are a grown man now - leave the toy steering wheels and stuff to the kids.

How you going to connect your wheel on your mibox? You honestly need a dedicated setup for a wheel as it's a messy and noisy experience but an amazing experience for racing!

Check on carb or marketplace for a used G27 , it's still great value for dipping your toes into sim racing before selling your kidneys for a direct drive setup

I know there are loads of options. Hence, the thread. I've never had a wheel and pedals. Please educate me.
If it needs to be mounted to something I can probably build it.
Well, it depends on where and how you intend to use it. Some have suckers so you just place them on top of a table surface, others clamp on to desks or tables, so you need to measure the thickness of the desk or table to be sure the clamps will fit or you will need to mod either the table or the clamps. Others have full rigs where they're mounted to frames... I almost took the plunge at some point in the past year or so but decided against it as it would have gotten in the way.

My Xbox remote connects through a receiver that goes into the USB port.

So you get the ones which mount to the desk and you get the ones which go inside a frame as a dedicated SIM Rig. Desk-mounted is far cheaper usually. For that you could just get any Logitech or similar type thing. I assume this is just for casual gameplay, not a full Sim racer experience?

Do you have a budget in mind?

Probably will look around R5000 secondhand. Yes, just casual gameplay. So not a direct driver experience. At this stage anyways.

Something like this maybe?

Damn that's actually an amazing price

Logitech make really nice steering wheels, my one I have since 2003 is still going strong as far as hardware is concerned
Just getting more difficult now to find drivers for Windows as Windows advances

But quality wise they are very good for what you pay.

This..
A few years ago I got a G27 with accessories and a Playseat for R5k.
Seller threw in some PS3 racing games (GT5, F1, WRC, amongst others) as well.
