Racist email from DA member 'a hoax'

Google Time, lets see what I can find out in one minute that could assist a hacker.

The site isn't very "secure". This immediately caught my eye:

That is all a hacker would need to hijack the email.

It is ridiculously easy to send out a hoax email -- provided you know what you're doing.

Given the ANC's track record in everything except the world of Finance, I have to believe that some otherwise intelligent people are assisting the ANC in fabricating dirt.
 
Pfft, it's so piss easy to spoof an email but I guess the ANC wouldn't consult a professional before releasing such cr@p to the media because they all such IT geniuses after all, Julius included.

The timing is impeccable to boot.
 
So much fuzz about a hoax email, but yet so little fuzz about the kill the boer song. talk about racism.

You guys are all falling for the ANC's tactic. The findings on whether the email is false or not wont make the front page. At best, page 3. One thing I learnt learnt with time with girlfriends is the power of silence when having done something wrong. Typically I walk in late after having had one more beer than I should have. She is spitting mad, I say sorry then shut up. She wants an argument and she gives it to me, she gets even more mad when I continue to keep quiet, I have after all apologised. To try get me to talk she will inevitable cross the line and say something that puts her in the wrong. At this point I then reply, "Why are you insulting my brother ... or whatever else she said?" Inevitably she has to apologise even though I was the initial offender.

Posters on this site have fallen for the same trap. ANC makes some noise about an alleged email, posters over react the ANC says, see we told you they were racist look at their comments. Whether the email is true or not, their comments confirm what we have always known! Check mate.
 
coincides nicely with Helen's tenacity in getting the World Bank to exclude the ANC's Hitachi 'pot of gold'.
 
Why not release the originating IP address in the email header?

Let us see if the IP originates from their server or the ANC servers. Wonder how long ISP's keep their logs on who was assigned which IP on which date and also on which ? ADSL ? port (and thus Telephone number)

Lets just hope the fraudster did not actually use some brains and bounced it through a hacked computer somewhere

Most probably a prepaid sim card though

If he did do it,,, what an idiot... if its a hoax its not a surprise.

Yet what I find awfully odd is that they bitch and moan (white and black) about race. Why cannot people live today and not yesterday? what does it matter if someone is black or white? if someone cannot do the job regardless of skin colour they should be excused. Why does it have to be racist when a white man or black man criticises another man about doing a job when it has nothing to do about colour?!

What I find awfully strange is that the ANC is sooooo quick to jump on an e-mail (which is very easy to fake) about racism when their ANC YOUTH LEADER sings songs about killing another race in a democratic and equal society?!

This country's politcial system must look at botswanna, enough said.

"I'd like to see all ANC officials take an IQ test and score AT LEAST average (that is, a minimum score of 100). Anyone who doesn't make the grade should be booted from the ANC, as it doesn't make sense that someone with less than average intelligence should have a hand in decision/policy making that affects the country."

You want them to boot the entire cabinet? (Well 80%, Trevor and Pravin would have to pick up the slack(and there's a lot))

Its easy to hide public IP addreseses from most internet servers in most situations. An old trick!
 
This letter wasn't even found by the ANC, they say someone called them and told them about it and that they "don't know who this person is". Why on earth they go to the media with that.. well actually it's terribly obvious. :p

That would be ideal. And they, who actually have some brains, can select the people who will fill the rest of the cabinet (people who are not brain-dead).
 
Didn't they use the words "honky" and "pigmentless" and "pig" in there as well????
