Ok so i just arrive at work .I see this cleaner guy standing their with a broom in his hand .He was holding it as he was about to throw it .So i said nice "spear you got their "and he looked at me rally weird ,so i walked away .I arrive at my office ,sat there for a while .My boss calls me ,I arrive at his office and he tells that i am a racist i was like:confused: He told me i was racist towards the cleaner .I thought but how was that racist .

The cleaner dude makes a case against me .After that was done they ask him what he wants as compensation.He says" he wants me to apologize" and he wants money for pain i coursed him .**** that i will apologize but not pay .I was fired for no reason .The thing i found really ... was that a about 6 or weeks he maid farms jokes directed towards me, like all white f*cking people work on a farm .

now i don't have a job any more lol .The moral of my story just shut up and don't make any comment towards any body at the work place .

The moral of the story is to be careful what you say and consider the CCMA for unfair dismissal .
 
I think you were fired because of your poor typing skills.

BTW I think this is a BS story.
 
I call BS - they can't fire you for that! Or there's a whole lot more to this story...
 
Prove it .... just tell them to prove it.. then make a counter claim with the other jokes ... and if he has BS witnesses you get to..

You cannot get fired just because of that. Have there been any other complaints about remarks that you have made? I think that the cleaner was just taking a chance.

I agree with the other guys, CCMA is your best bet now!.
 
You will get a disciplinary for this possibly and they will only fire you if there are other reasons involved, or this has happened before.
 
There's two sides to every story Mudkeipz.

Honestly, I would feel offended if you told me "nice spear you got there", and I would complain to the relevant peoeple or person. I, however, don't think that what you said is grounds for dismissal, CCMA is there for a reason. You were extremely insensitive, but I wouldn't say you were being racist or said racist comments, but people are not the same and therefore people interpret things or comments differently.

I also think that there is more to this story than what you are telling.
You would have had to attend a formal disciplinary hearing, for which you would have had to been notified for in writing......

otherwise if this is how the story goes go to the CCMA. Just remeber you have like 3months (i think but not sure at all) to go lodge your complaint.

Why would you be offended if peoeple said that?
 
I think he's comment was racist plain and simple... Would it have been racist if the cleaner made a comment to him in the lines of: "Nice veld-sokkies u have on there, blerrie boere!"

Thats exactly what he did, he said: "Nice spear u have there, blerrie tribal peasant"
Not in those words exactly but thats what it was. Its funny though, hi i'll be racist today by making comments people wont see through because i'm Awesome...... aaaarggggh dammit FAIL!!

I wouldn't be offended if a black person said nice rifle.... that was our traditional weapon(?), our money has a spear and knobkierrie on it, get over youself, just tell them you are gay and were refering to his shlong.....



oh wait then he'll sue for sexual harrasment.
