Hi all,
I am not a Gamer per se.
I'm currently playing Quake 4 and it's the first game I've played in as long as I can remember.
In December I installed a new Radeon HD 6800.
My monitor is a Samsung 24' WS.
They are connected via HDMI.
OS: XP 32
I'm not clued up on this stuff, but I'm told that I have a pretty potent graphics card. Before you ask, I laid out the cash because I use my PC as a media centre and I didn't want to have to upgrade in six months again.
When I max' out the graphics settings in Quake 4 and restart the app', it gives me an error and resets everything to lower settings.
I have Googled this, but found nothing concrete in terms of a solution.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers [latest now].
Have any of you encountered this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it?
Thanks.
