Radeon x800 XT Pro Problems + Artic Cooler

As topic says....My Fan on the Artic Cooler has died or if it does work it runs incredibly slow.

The graphics it self is fine.... The Fan runs about 500rpm Then randomly speeds up to 3000rpm *with a hell of a lot of vibration* that it makes my case vibrate!

I will probably have to get a picture to show what kind of cooler it is...its basically an AGP Card, with a huge bloody heat sink *that takes up PCI slot* with a fan built in. *slapped onto Gfix card*

Games etc run fine...However i get VPU Recovery Failures..Lock ups...Colors goes weird...

Is the Fan dying? or is there anyway to fix slow fans?

and tell them you wanted nvidia might feel sorry for you

@Borgir - if your card is still under warranty they might replace the fan. Or else you will need to buy a new fan. I would consider it risky to have the bad fan revving @ 3000 rpm...

Hence why i need to know if any fixes for simple fan problems,

Was thinknig bout getting an Nvidia anyway

Some of them come with smart fans, go into your vid props from your destop. Turn off VPU recover and you wont have that problem with the funky colours on your screen.

The fan speeds up when the card gets hot. You might just want to take it out and give it a good clean just to get rid of dust. (this should stop the noice and vibrations.)
