Radiator flush

How often should this be done?

my car is 5 years old with 136 000 km on the clock - surely it should be done soon or been done already?

any mechanical guys out there like to comment? Or must i just insist it gets done at the next service?

I wouldn't worry about it at 5 years.
More than likely it's had the proper coolant used, so there should be any buildup of scale.

Really only when vehicles get older and there's possible rust or normal water has been used then it is recommended.

Don't ever put radiator flush in when flushing a radiator and there's no need to do it if there's no rust build up.

I don't believe in flushing radiators. My car's manual told me not to do it, all I ever did was drain it, and replace the coolant.
I did that according to manufacturer's directions and have had no problems whatsoever.

At best I'd "flush" it by running water through it with a hosepipe until it's clear of any kind of contamination... then fill up the system with the prescribed antifreeze mix.
