Radio/CD player installation for VW CitiGolf

Hi

Bought my Tenacity without a radio/cd player a few years back. Bought a Logic player (with amp and speakers) from Game - was on special for R999.

Should I allow the installation guys to mount the amp and 2 6x9" speakers on the back-board or have them make up another board?

Also I'd rather not have them put in the door speakers - would have to cut the door panels.

I'm not into loud sound / rattling the neighbourhood windows - I only want to listen to the radio / music at normal loudness.

Opinions/suggestions?

They can mount it to the existing back board and it'll sound fine, but you'll get better quality sound if they build a board for you. Make sure it's somebody reputable though.

On topic though - just have them using the current board.
It all depends how finnicky you are about sound.

As long as it's clear. Don't need loudness.

The reason I asked about the board is because a work colleague suggested not using the current one because of the holes when trying to sell the car. But, when I do sell, I'll most likely sell with the radio so the speakers will still be there - it is after all just a 1k system, nothing fancy.
