I guess it's a matter of preference as well as accuracy. With my dedicated satnav I never have to worry about running out of data or battery life on my phone. There's a solid cradle, and I know that the base maps and connected traffic functions are accurate. Also I'm just used to having a nice big screen to get a lot of crucial data from - for me I find it's just very ergonomic. If Waze works for you, however, then that's cool.
