According to the RAF website you can claim directly from them without going through an attorney. My brother tried to lodge a claim, but was told that since all four of us are above 21, we can only claim the funeral expenses for our parents. This is despite the fact that the youngest was still dependent on our parents for financial support. He's 23 and will only complete varsity next year.
Is it correct that we can only claim for the funeral expenses? Also my dad was busy with renovations to his house which I had to complete. Can I claim back from the fund what I've spent to complete the work? Is there someone or an organisation other than attorneys (I've heard only bad things) who can assist us?
Is there anything else we can claim for besides the funeral expenses and I'm worried about the youngest. I thought that we could at least claim support for him.
