Tons of gamers will be packing the Coca Cola dome today with their gaming rigs in order to kick some proverbial behind in a massive 1800 man lan which has caused some households terrible upheaval once the tickets were sold out in August. This is the big event for those 1800 people who have been chosen by fate to compete head on with other crazed, keyboard chomping nutters like myself.
Unfortunately I will not be going in a gaming capacity even though I am fitting out one of the contenders with a new gaming rig that is standing right next to me at the moment. A monster of a PC that will see the hallowed inside of the NAG LAN at rAge Expo 2008.
At least one of the major hardware and software suppliers have bled dry their normal office operations to dedicate their attention to rAge, so the guys at rAge will not be left dry as I understand there will be massive special offers at the expo itself. I will be putting on a press badge for the event with a sneaky camera or two monitoring the event for cool happenings.
I wish both gamers and fellow tech fiends well for the expo. May your feet be painless, your gaming wrists are in perfect health and may you sleep like babies under the tables when you take those catnaps between games.
