Rage Expo

Sounds like another event which only caters for fps players. No rpg games show cased it seems.

Well considering that Fps games are by far the most popular and widely sold games, it's no surprise really....But there was plenty of non Fps action going on, not on the big screens and I didn’t see any demos on, but saw plenty stands with non fps games on display.

I saw it and to be brutally honest, it didn't appear to me to looking that good in comparison to the previous two versions (LEGEND and Anniversary). However, that wasn't final game code, and therefore one cannot give a complete judgment of how the overall game will be once finished. BUT it still looked good.

Far Cry 2 was simply breathtaking.... :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I stood in complete awe whilst watching some noobs play it even though I didn't play it myself, that game will definitely get my money. Its gfx blew me away, those shadow's, the atmosphere, it was brilliant. COD5 is another that I will be buying especially for the multiplayer aspect, whereas FC 2 will just be for singleplayer.

Didn't know you could play GoW2 ! :eek: I saw the screen with the demo running, but I don't have a 360, so I didn't miss out too much on it, hehehe :D

Overall, it was much better than last year, but still it is only that big (I know it ain't E3), but big ups to the organisers, it was different and fresh and that's what is important. Will definitely go again in the future, and the boothbabes where delicious for the eyes as always ;)

Plus Banjo Kazooie and Fable II!! All in all I was very impressed with the unreleased gmaes they had playable at Rage. I went there hoping to see those things and I did...

Never been a fan of Lara Croft so didnt actually take a look at that, but basically all of the above looked amazing... the rest of they year is going to be an expensive time for serious gamers!!!
 
Rage was very good this year. It was better than the previous year.

I enjoyed it. Great Show!
 
daventry, u been spamming tomb raider in almost all the threads... just go google pics or something
 
Im sorry, but i wasent at the Expo because i live in Capetown and all Tomb Raider Underworld Sceens on Google are Old and im really excited to see and hear what you guys know especially about Natla and Amanda joining forces.

Komaan mense, waars julle Lara Croft Backbone. :p HA HA HA.

I really really really seemed to miss that. I was at the XBOX gaming area, albeit for only a few minutes. Plus it was really crowded. Probably all the Fable II fans hoping to have a change at nicking the demo copy... :p

@daventry: Dude, TRU didn't look that impressive to me. It look pretty much like any other Tomb Raider game I've ever seen before. Try looking somewhere on Gamespot or Gametrailers. They should have some new(ish) videos or pictures for you to drool over. And you want info on who and who joining forces?
 
rAge was very good this year. Lots of eye candy to be seen. :D

Only complaint is that the PC games were a bit thin. I understand it is easier to show the new Call of Duty on a Xbox console but there are certain things I would have liked to see.

Top of the list would have been Red Alert 3.
Nothing was mentioned about GTA IV. Even if you only had it on a few consoles with a banner saying "coming to PC" soon or something. :(

Overall not a bad show. Sorry I couldn't have stayed there longer. :)
 
agreed, lots of eye candy...

...my gf stopped me from taking any pics of any of the promo girls, the tomb raider, the street fighter girl and friend at do broadband

i had fun, saw lots of awesome stuff, but sadly never had the chance to show off my guitar hero skills (on easy ..lol) - but will get gh world tour when comes out in nov

I suspect you missed it cause when you were in the general area you were transfixed on the Gears demo! It was right there... on the side closest to where the food court was!

Now that I think about it, I didnt look at much properly.. I was so amped and went into some kind of trance.. I was walking up and down trying to look at everything at once!
