Hey all

So I'm gonna be building a pc. Got some quotes from stores in the area and been checking online and stuff.

RAGE starts tomorrow (I have never been before) and many of my friends say I should go buy all my components there and then build my rig. Are the prices that much lower at Rage?

Thanks!

I tried that last year and the vendors at rAge are more expensive, I had pockets full of cash and a paper comparing prices, this went on the whole day and only managed to buy RAM and a Hard drive.

From what I've seen in the past, you'll save far more by buying your components from rebeltech, wootware and takealot.

Jassas not rebeltech, Wootware is a tiny bit more expensive, but after sales service and communication is the best by far!!

Shoot, what about prebuilt PC's?

I was really hoping it would work out cheaper. But I suppose if it doesn't then I'll have to order online or something.

I found peripherals at RAGE are usually cheaper, because that's what most people buy when they are there. The components you'll usually find cheaper on the online stores. There might be a bargain or 2, but I won't put money on it. So, you'll probably walk away with a mouse, keyboards, headphones, case and a screen if you're lucky and if there's a good bargain.

I regret building my PC now, I could bought myself a nice laptop with the R17k I spent.

More than likely Wootware will be cheapest. Rage has turned into a shopping centre now. No real deals.
