Would you lot in the know recommend Rain 4G?
If so what wireless modem to get to cover a 8x8m spot with 3-4 users?
Rain, why oh why do you not supply devices for all the products you support?

Try MTN first.

PS don't take the contract option

MTN is a no-go for me I hate them just very slightly less than DSTV..

Anyone else about Rain 4G?

Largely depends on the tower/congestion, I use 4G (R479 all devices) as my ftth backup and always get 30mbit (its meant to be 10mbit but I think if you have low use they allow bursting)

Rain 4G is only good enough for 1 device. Thats if you are lucky & have decent coverage.

To be fair...all these guys (PAIN., EMPTY-N, VODACON etc) are useless these days...
Get some PAYG SIMS and see which one works for you...
For me RAIN used to work well...pre virus days....

It's had its ropey moments but better in the last few months. I have 3 users, stream TV, have a bunch of IOT devices and it manages alright. Also I work from home so that involves Teams meetings etc. Yes it is temperamental and less reliable than fibre but for the cost I'm okay with it. Get an outdoor CPE and lock to a good cell.

Ask rain to help you with it … they might need to send you an outside router and test it if it will work … they should be able to help you … I’d say take a chance with the 5g it’s better trying than not knowing

4G is OK for emails, YouTube and whatnot. Don't expect to torrent on it or have many users.

I can Teams/Skype overseas and locally just fine and get development work done. 4G seems to struggle in the evenings though depending on how congested the tower is.

The 4G 10mbit deal comes in handy when you game online. Because they limit streaming services to high hell (around 130kb/s) it doesn't give a massive ping spike when someone opens a video. The only positive about this deal.
