Trying to cancel my Rain 5G is almost as painful as using their poor network. after no support agent responded for almost 3 weeks after our last communication i decided to cancel my rain 5G sim . sent a cancellation request a week ago and no one at Rain has bothered to get back to me. their service is just as poor as the stability of their network.

Sorry for recommending this service to you. As it turned out they are not as good as I told you they are. I am having endless hassles, but unlike you I am no position to just cancel the service. ADSL decommission in our area and also no fibre in our area. Have fun with the fibre!

Hi @Gert Hows Same problem here, i had to cancel my card to stop the payments, and now i get emails from Rain asking for money but still can't get it canceled

they absolutely useless they finally contacted me yesterday and assured me i would get confirmation of the cancellation and i am still waiting! seems like the only way to get someone at rain to contact you is by posting on this forum

i have received and email confirming my cancellation but i guess the real test will be to see if i will get charged again month end or not. i would suggest you write a complaint on the forum that is the only way to get any assistance/response out of them. they contacted me within an hour after my first post.
 
No service from Rain on 5g. I need to terminate and look at viable alternatives
 
I really wanted to make use of rains 5G offering, i have coverage. But the more I read about rain, the more it seems like a no go option unless you have no alternative i.e. no adsl or fibre. Also given the cancellation issues, i wouldnt even want to try them out for fear of having to be stuck trying to cancel.

Also seems like the general public are screwed in terms of getting any form or decent service from them...luckily forum members have this channel to use., for the rest must suck

Hope you are well.

Apologies for the late response.

Can you please do a hard reset on the router using the following steps:
You need to connect to the 5G router either via wifi or via the LAN cable.
You then need to open your browser (Google chrome preferably) then type in 192.168.8.1.
It will pop up with the Huawei login interface and it will ask for username and password (Normally admin for both), if it does not want to take the admin password then try the following.
Try to do a hard reset on the router by opening the lid that is underneath the router and you will see a small RST hole, press and hold for 20-30 seconds and the 4G and 5G light will go off. The router will then reset and once it has reset try again to login using admin password.
- Log into the router using 192.168.8.1.
- Username and password will be admin in lower case.
- Click on System.
- Click on "Reset" button and enter your login password.
- the router will then do a hard reset.
Once the reset is done please let me know on how the lights are showing on the router.

Has the cancellation issue been resolved? @rain_mobile what is the best way to cancel?

Just mail [email protected] and what would be the turn around time before cancellation is effected? What other Ts & Cs are there, like you have to cancel by date X etc etc, I can't seem to find specifics on your site.
