When running speed tests on my outdoors installed Rain 5G router, I get about 150Mb/s on my iphone outside, with line of sight of the router. Moving inside it drops to about 40Mb/s. I then hardwired a Tenda F9 600Mb/s network access point indoors expecting to get the full speed indoors, but I still get the same result. Any advice?

Are you running the indoor tests on your phone, i.e. is the phone connecting to the AP and if so what wifi netwrok (2.4 or 5ghz) are you using? Also what model iPhone is it? The older ones would have a slower WiFi chip than say the newer ones.

Hi. I am using the same phone for the tests. Iphone 8. When I connect directly to the outdoor router I get 150Mb/s outside and only 40Mb\s inside. I guess the signal gets weak going through the metal roof. I then hard wired the AP to the router and connected the iphone to the AP, but could not get to the 150Mb\s...

Looks like the Tenda is 2.4Ghz. Is the outdoor router 2.4 or 5Ghz? Might be interference?
