So just a general question which has been bothering me since I got my RAIN 5G in February. What is the use of this 4G failover if it doesn't work? I mean it is great and all that it is there, but since I don't have the ability to turn off the 5G it is entirely useless to me.
This is apparent when we had rolling blackouts back then and now that it is back I was reminded of it again. If I have so much as one 5G bar, I can neither browse nor utilize the 4G which is at full signal during rolling blackouts. So what use does the 4G have for us 5G users?
Is there perhaps a hidden setting that I am missing where I am able to disable the 5G?
Other than this inconvenience I am happy with my over all speeds that I receive. I do however wish that RAIN would do something about their customer support. Many of my customers have asked me about whether they should get it or not. I then show them my speeds in excess of 500Mbps but the moment I mention the terrible customer support, all of them decided against it.
