Why would Table bay of all places get so hot, I would have thought being right next to the Atlantic it would have been cooler than places like Paarl?
That only works when there is a wind or breeze.. during this time of the year, city bowl, table bay etc, have days of no wind..

I did a quick search and WMO 68817 is Portnet container dock terminal in Cape Town harbour. It is not really 'next to' the Atlantic, and in the middle of a dense urbanised area (heat island effect).

And there was ZERO wind yesterday and that particular part of Portnet is surrounded by tarmac so the sun bouncing off there would have been horrific

Surface moisture levels are quite high, with fog patches likely at times along the coast over the next few days. This will make conditions feel more humid, even though temperatures will decline somewhat.

The Milnerton webcam shows mist/fog patches over Table Bay around midday today:

My Oregon weather station reported a temperature of 38.2° at 12PM yesterday, while today it's 8° cooler at 30.6° here in Milnerton
Done much research into them? Able to point me in the right direction?
