An upper trough is bringing moist and slightly unstable air down from the tropics. A few isolated thundershowers are likely this afternoon (Wed 4th), mostly inland from CT itself.

To be fair, I only posted that after the clouds had started moving in. Yesterday's forecast (for today) didn't show anything significant, and I can't really explain the event properly...

SAEON Dwarsberg (Jonkershoek) catchment recorded 32mm up to midnight, and about half of that early this morning. Seems drier now. A weak Black South Easter, with persistent winds likely for the next few days.

The same reason is behind it - low-pressure areas over the western part of SA extending all the way from Angola through Namibia and into SA.
