Rain App ?

I still have the old app installed on my phone, I thought they'll just upgrade that.

It’s always half-measures and things half-cooked with this company.

Why no iOS support? Why release the app, like 5G, when you can’t make it as widely available as possible or you can’t reach critical mass? Why cater to some and marginalize others?

Ag.

I am not sure how accurate this is, but:

If I had some sort of a product, I would also release Android first. It's pretty obvious why.

Also, they did say the iOS app is being worked on.

Lol Android has the majority market share in this country. Releasing it on Google Play and Appgallery they reach the most users.

Pointing to how much less iOS users are as compared to Android users, does not make them any less significant. Point of the matter is rain has a base of both Android and iOS users. What is so challenging to a telecoms/tech company to develop in tandem for both user bases? I can understand if Pick n Pay or Clicks, prioritizes Android over others, but what is inexcusable is when a company whose bread and butter is tech, to develop and prioritize some users over others.

Same argument goes for 5G...

Then again this company is proving time and again that they have no true understanding of the South African market and its dynamics, hence all products, ALL, underwhelm as the rule and only perform as they should in exceptional cases.

Hi @373_Titan There is an ISO version on the way.

what are your next plans with the Rain app?
activation of newly delivered Sim cards?
ability to see what sort of traffic is using the most of your data?
statistics on how the network is doing, outages that might be reported and status of them?

I mean look at the Afrihost app, one of the best ISP apps out there that gives quite a lot of useful information.

Hey there @eg2505

Thanks and thanks again for those suggestions, I will notify the devs of your suggestions. There are a ton of things they are working on, so you will be getting more versions coming out, with more features. ^^

Lol no even Tyme bank took this approach so it's understandable. It's easier for them to go for the lowest hanging fruit. Just like when I purchase a smartphone I factor it into my decision of what platform to choose.

Gotta love Rain. Just like government. Build statues while people go hungry.

Well they do understand that the MAJORITY of people on the SA market use Android... the 15% can wait, the 85% get priority.
Look at it this way, Jobs/Cook is telling to you wait and be patient, and we all know that Apple fanbois do whatever they are told, when Jobs or Cook is the one telling them so.
