Hi, good day.

I hope you can advice me. I have received my rain wifi router on Wednesday. My nearest tower is about 1km NE from my house.
There are no tall buildings in my area like multi-floor buildings and the tallest trees are about 4-6mtr tall in my neighbourhood generally.

My wifi router stand currently outside as suggested. I just want to know is it better for my router to be place at roof level or a bit higher on a pole for best connectivity or signal strength. Currently my 4G is 65Mbps (2.4GHz) and my 5G is 6-25Mbps (5 GHz) and that doesn't sound right what rain is advertising of 300Mbps.

I would like to permanently fix my router outside, but I do not want to drill thousand holes around my house just to find the best spot. So I do understand that since the tower is NE from me that the best place to place the router would be at NE corner of my house, right? But would it be better to place it at roof level (but still under the roof so it is still protected somewhat against rain and direct sunlight) or higher on a pole (out in the open)

The best link speeds I've had so far was 135Mbps for both 4G and 5G and my signal strength varies from fair-good-excellent and it stays on the same spot. I have tested it around my house over the weekend again, and the current spot is so far the best.

Please advice.

Firstly, there are many threads here regarding this.
Secondly, that CPE is very picky, it likes to see what its connected to, so mount it on the roof as high as possible so theres line of sight to the tower, take your time to find a sweet connection spot. Another thing is Rain's towers are very unstable, one moment you have great speeds the next it's all lights out. Read the threads on the forum, good luck.
