I am leaving here on 9 Jan, so had to terminate fibre. So today begins mobile data again - and I unfortunately went with RAIN.
I got 2 SIMS. The uncapped 10Mbps from any device package, and the 23H00 to 18H00 uncapped package.
Since I got online this AM, I have found either SIM just keeps bouncing the connection. Every 5 mins or so it slows to a crawl for about a minute or so, then comes right. Every 30 minutes or so though, it dies. The router lights are on, router webpage shows 4G, etc... All looks good - but zero throughput. Suddenly it comes right again after a few minutes.
Both SIM's used in a Huawei B525, a Huawei B618z-22d and in my dual-sim phone. I get the same results (constant dropping throughput). I put a Telkom SIM in and viola - but Telkom are just far too expensive for my data needs.
Any tricks to get this working at least a little decently in Harties?
I tried their support system, but don't have any faith. It took forever just to find a way to submit a ticket. They seem to think that everything can be fixed using self help, and you must work really hard to get into direct contact. These clowns going back to WBS iBurst way of doing things again it seems.
