Hi All,

So got one of these sim cards yesterday, as far as the coverage map is concerned I should have really good coverage in my area. However just in my offices if I walk from one end to the other it drops signal at least 2 or 3 times.

Is this the norm?

Can anyone else confirm how stable/reliable rains mobile network is?

TIA!

I'm suffering with this lately, it can go from good signal to total blackout just by moving 5 meters. It's a recent thing, I noticed it a lot from tuesday. It's worse at home in my router, it gets a connection then goes off.
Spoke to some Rain tech people, all they say is I need to reboot my device and check the APN, but the schit was working just fine last week.

Got the same story from them.
So far wholly unimpressed with the product.

Well you don't say the location or even give a speedtest. Perhaps the tower is overloaded. I have no problems with them.
Speed tests won't help anything, speeds are fine. It's the transition from perfect signal to none in a matter of steps that is the problem.
It is in JHB South.

I have the same problem, one side of a building in Sandton hub has great signal, but the other side has terrible signal

What would that help?
Of Course it is activated, it works intermittently... Is it being activated and deactivated while I walk through my office building?
O okay, I thought it never worked since getting it. Apologies.

That being said, I also find that since yesterday the signal would go down sometimes.

Also on my Xiaomi phone. Local tower goes off immediately once load shedding starts & only get 1 bar signal from next tower.

Maybe I am experiencing the above. We have electricity but suddenly router flashes red and no connectivity. Tried everything no luck. I tried the other rain fixed Lte sim. That shows all lights working but no site opens.

Same here. When there's loadshedding Rain completely blacksout. Happened yesterday, and its happening now. So bloody Eskom found another way to 'stuff' us up.

I never knew when/if there is loadshedding then we get screwed. This is news to me. Didnt have any issues yesterday
