Hi guys I was just wondering how long it takes for the Rain mobile sim card to be activated in Cape Town.

Mine was activated in a couple of hours after giving the courier my RICA docs.

What payment methods Rain accept. I am not a fan of debit orders.

Can it be a recurring payment on my card or EFT?

If I only pay for the uncapped option, will it charge me if i mistakely use data outside of off peak times?

It's charged recurring to your CC. Yes you will be charged if you use it outside peak times, but the best news is you can set a limit even as low as R0.

No, not as far as I know. My limit is set to R100.

If you're on the R249 uncapped package, a limit of R0 will mean no spend outside of the package. It also means no connectivity between 6pm and 11pm. At R50/gb, it's best to set a R50 or R100 so that you have connectivity during that period. Just don't stream or download stuff.
