I can only play Texas realm. (That is also down when I tried to restart)

EU,SG US and AUS is also down.

Cant do searches while trying to surf the net.

I am under the impression that Rain has changed some rules on their firewall by the looks of it or one of their international links is down.

It work last night still. This morning it became a problem.

All international links are down, this does not bode well.

This is unacceptable with many redundancy links etc.

Today won't be a productive day using Rain. I relay a lot on international bandwidth

I can add Telkom is not down.
That is why switched to Rain. I got Rain service less than a week. Not the service providers (Afrihost etc.).
Or do they relay on other service providers backbone to international destinations.

VPN using someone else's backbone. Because you log on local and use there backbone to go internationally.

I cant even surf outside SA borders.

Caveat: Don't sign up at any VPN provider if you are worried about their privacy

What I did:
Sign up for a 1day trial at SaferVPN,

LNS address:
za1.safervpn.com
Host Name:
SaferVPN
User: Username when you signed up
Password: Password when you signed up

Online again \o/

Eish, Rain is busy updatiing their firewall now, news24.com, wechat, and its website, even some local wetsite can't be browsed, that's a mistake. using Cellc, vodacom, no problem. after robooting the modem with getting new ip, same problems

Just bought a USB-WIFI so I can use my Telkom line.

This does not bode well!! Additional to this is the poor performance lately. Not even 10 Mb/s with ext antenna!
