Rain hits R25 billion valuation

The valuation of mobile network operator Rain has increased by almost R3 billion over the past year, according to the latest annual results of shareholder African Rainbow Capital Investments (ARCI).

ARCI, where billionaire Patrice Motsepe is a major shareholder and chairman, revealed that it invested a further R160 million in Rain in August 2024, bringing its shareholding in Rain to 21.0%.

... you took the words right out of my mouth. I've always held a skeptical view of Rain's press/public announcements... I would not be surprised if it is a scandal in the making.
 
They are a private company afaik... so no "share prices" per se....
 
Sounds like someone cro9oked the books, RAIN has provided sub standard service for year, and still does. no way the company is anywhere near worth this amount.
