Hello,

Can anyone comment on the performance of Rain LTE in the Midstream area?

As with anything wireless it depends on how far you are from the tower(s) and how busy they are.

That being said, my experience (mostly at the Square@Midstream and Shopping on Ridgeway centres) have not been too bad.

Getting about 40Mb/s down and 25Mb/s up most days.

I am only considering it for a backup link - my work is 100% based from home and moving there I can't be without a working internet connection.

Thanks for your feedback.

I am not in Midstream but I can just tell you that if you need a reliable backup rather look somewhere else.
I have had a persistent issue where the cell tower goes down and there has not been a real solution offered by Rain.
With these guys you will need a backup of the backup

The entire estate is covered by fibre - mostly through Supersonic.

Which estate in Midstream are you moving to?

Meadows, I am asking as a backup. My work is 100% from home and very critical so while the fibre will be my primary I need a different medium as a secondary.

Are you in Midstream? How is Supersonic?

If Supersonic could get their operations in order, things would improve significantly in Midstream. I've been trying to assist a client there, but I've had no success so far.I will try rain 5G home option for R695.The old outdoor router was the best router and still performing optimal.
