Rain router stolen

My place was broke into and my rain router was taken called rain and they said I should pay 4000 I asked them if they can cancel my sim because how can I pay for something I don't have they said no they can't it's their policy what do I do ?

Condolences on being a crime victim.

1. Get another compatible second hand router and use that.
2. Learn that if paying something off (like a router or car or cell phone) that you need insurance, or else you need to make one with the fact that you might have to pay for something you don't have anymore if something were to happen to that thing,

Think of it this way: they loaned you R4000 to buy a router, which you agreed to pay back over the course of the contract period.

Regardless of what happens to the router, you still owe them the R4000. Per suggestion above, get a second hand router.

It’s in their wording when you sign up - that you are renting the hardware and are responsible for ensuring its safety and/or insuring it. The device has value, they can’t just write it off they would be bankrupt lol.
