Hello,

I googled Rain SA to see where I can report them for zero assistance with regards to my problem with cyber abuse due to their lack of security. Hello Peter is not going to cut it. I stumbled onto this forum, and I really hope someone can give me advise. I have a hacker now for almost 8 months, and no matter what I do I cannot get rid of him. This is due to no support from Rain. I live alone, work from home and have no staff. Somehow, he managed to obtain my IP address and password. And ever since then, my life is hell. He infiltrated my Microsoft accounts, my emails all of it. And both my cell phones.

I eventually replaced all my laptops and phones, but my friend was still there. My Rain device is permanently in a configurated mode, and this is due to the hacker. I had to replace this as well. I eventually got so sick of Rain and their empty promises for I phoned and emailed them a 1000 times, got reference nr's, wrote down the names who I spoke to and up till today NO ONE has made the effort to contact me.

So, I decided to become a cop.

I started investigating where this is all coming from, I gathered all the info that I could. I have most IP addresses and the two cell phones that he uses.

I know how he does it but it's just too much info to add here.

My question is how do I get rid of him and which service provider are the best. I'm leaving Rain however whoever I'm going to sign up I want him gone. This has been going on for a very long time. I am now opening up a case with the police. I did not do this previously, but I hope this will help. I don't have much faith in them.

If I'm allowed to mention the info i.e. IP addresses etc. on here, please let me know. I really really need help or at least just a name of a service provider that is secure.

Cyber abuse is really real, and it drains you emotionally

Thanks so much.

And no service provider is going to protect you, because that's not their service..

They provide an internet connection, it is up to you to secure your own devices..

Backup all your stuff to external then download wannacry.

Hi @Mogley,

Sounds like you visited some shady links or got phished (I bet my money on the latter) . I couldn't help laughing reading this though I thought it was a copy pasta. Like the other guy said this has nothing to do with Rain and there's nothing they or any ISP can do.

Rain provides you with an internet connection. How you choose to use the internet is on your own accord.

How can Rain be held accountable for your poor cyber security ethics.
