So I'm covered according to the map, but I have terrible ACTUAL coverage at my residence.. and we talking dead middle of a very popular area in jhb.
Who can help?
I can't wait as #40 in the queue to speak to a RAIN chat agent.

Anyone here?

Their coverage map seems optimistic. I'm supposed to have full coverage in the office but yet get nothing and very limited speeds at home. Both areas are supposedly fully covered.

If you break open a hole in the wall of your current dwelling, that faces the rain tower closest to you, your actual coverage will improve.. of course, only if you do not have another building between yours and the rain tower breaking line of sight..

It's not possible for the coverage map to take into account the other factors that affect the quality of your connection.. it's just that, a coverage map and not a connection quality map..

Disclaimer: I am not actually advising you to break a hole in the wall, simple stating that it would improve your connection..

hehehe! bust the wall- seriously!
I walk outside with the tablets and walk around the house outside and its the same.

I used a Samsung galaxy tab A, and then a MiFi device, I am unsure of the exact model now.

The thing is, I am walking distance to monte casino and Fourways mall. surely an area that "should' have solid coevrage.
but I do not have RAIN coverage!

Sometimes I do pick up the RAIN netwrk, but then there are no bars of signal showing. just says RAIN and the signal indicator shows no bars!
